Rain, Rain, Go Away.

I'm watching Jeopardy right now, and Alex Trebek is such a dork. haha. Anyway.

It's raining right now, and I don't like it at all. Actually, I do like it, maybe a little tiny bit because it's like summer rain and I love summer rain, but... no. It's bad. GO AWAY! More on this later.

So, this week...
Wednesday- Epcot
Well. My madre wasn't feeling 100%, so we kind of took everything slow. Which was fine, because everybody was tired and we didn't want to be rushing around anyway. We still did pretty much everything, so it's not like we missed out on stuff by just chillin part of the day. The highlight of my day was getting an awesome hoodie from the Mexico marketplace in the World Showcase. I've seen people wearing these jackets for a few years now, and I've always wanted one but I couldn't find them, and if I did they were crazy expensive. Who would've thought the first time I found an affordable one I liked, it would be at Disney World?? Nothin's affordable there! But I was really excited about this. The other highlight of my day probably wouldn't matter to most people, but... my dad was wearing his t-shirt from Lagniappe (the church we stayed at on our mission trip in Mississippi) and we passed a family while we were walking and apparently they pointed at dad and said "He's wearing a Lagniappe shirt!" and my brothers were the only ones that heard it. If my mom or I had heard them say it we probably would've stopped them and had a little chat. But it was really cool that someone recognized the shirt. Talk about it's a small world after all.
BEST PART OF THE DAY THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH DISNEY WORLD:I haven't been taking my cell phone into the parks with me because I'm not that attached to it and I didn't feel like keeping up with it. When we got back to the car after we left Epcot, I checked my phone and saw I had a voicemail from a number I didn't know. I listened to the voicemail and it was this wonderful person from the place I applied to work, telling me that they wanted to offer me a position with them and asking me to call back about employee orientations. This phone call made me beyond happy. I'm so excited about this job, you don't even know. I just need to call them back in the morning. I was going to take my phone with me and call today, but I forgot it. Oops. I feel really irresponsible now that they called me on Wednesday afternoon and now I won't be calling them back until Friday morning. Maybe they'll just overlook that.
Thursday- Animal Kingdom
It rained and rained and rained. Well, actually it drizzled first and then it rained. Then, after we left the park this afternoon, it POURED. I haven't seen that much rain since I don't know when. But it was a pretty good day over all. We rode Expedition Everest five times... it was fun, obviously. Plus, all the smart people were somewhere dry, not walking around Animal Kingdom in the rain today, so all the lines were super short and we didn't have to wait long to ride it. There's not really much to say about Animal Kingdom. It's basically a zoo where they sell some Disney stuff. Speaking of stuff... I got a really pretty necklace today. Neither of my big Disney World purchases are actually even Disney related. I kind of feel bad about that, but then I kind of don't care because I'd never wear a Disney shirt/hoodie/whatever. I'm rambling. So yes, that was today.

The Disney experience is officially over. Which makes me really sad, but the combination of tiredness and rain made it not-so-sad to leave the park this afternoon. But Disney World is such a happy place; I'm always so sad when we leave.Tomorrow we're supposed to go see my Braves play the Pirates at Spring Training, but if this rain doesn't let up by tomorrow morning there will be no baseball for us. Talk about sadness. I might have to cry. Sorry I wrote a novel. I just felt the need to ramble I guess. I'm going to go do a no-rain dance now.
